Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust provides a very broad range of community and in-patient mental health services, learning disability services, community services, children's and addictions services to people living in Hull, the East Riding of Yorkshire and North Yorkshire. We also provide specialist services for children including physiotherapy, speech and language therapy and support for children and young people and their families experiencing emotional or mental health difficulties.
The Trust also provides specialist services, such as forensic support and offender health, to patients from the wider Yorkshire and Humber area and further afield.
Dr Chris Sanderson (Principal Investigator)
Dr Chris Sanderson is a Clinical Psychologist in an NHS Early Intervention in Psychosis Service. His role includes offering therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Systemic Family Therapy; supervision of Psychologists, Trainee Clinical Psychologists and Trainee CBT Therapists; facilitating team formulation meetings; consultation; teaching and training; conducting service evaluation; and leadership of service development projects.
Chris’ work at the University of Hull includes teaching; coordinating teaching of CBT and complex mental health problems; overview of the teaching and evaluation of CBT competencies; research supervisor of trainees; personal tutor of trainees; and marking academic work .
Chris currently supervises thesis research in the area of Psychosis and personal recovery. He has spent the majority of his career working with people who are deemed to meet the criteria of Psychosis.
