Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust

Research and innovation is central to providing a high quality of care and safety to our patients. This involves working closely with our clinicians, and in collaboration with partner health organisations, the commercial sector, and The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). We are committed to participating and leading in research and innovation that improves local, regional and national health care outcomes including service provisions.

EPUT has successfully participated in studies with clinical trials involving medicines, medical devices, technology, artificial intelligence, and psychological therapies. Our areas of specialism include mental health, neurodegeneration, severe mental illness, alcohol and substances, child and adolescent mental health, dementia, forensic psychiatry, and much more.

At EPUT, every service user, carer, family and staff member is encouraged to participate in research and innovation. They are supported by a dedicated and experienced research team who are passionate about delivering a high quality experience both for patients and researchers.
