Research Team

Dr Richard Laugharne (Principal Investigator)

Dr Richard Laugharne is a consultant psychiatrist in general adult psychiatry and has worked in Cornwall for 16 years.  He is lead for research for Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Honorary Senior Lecturer at University of Exeter Medical School.  His research interests include therapeutic relationships in mental health services, mental health services in Ghana and the provision of mental health services in the NHS

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jacqueline Kerr (Senior Research Nurse)

Qualifications: Dip HE Nursing (Mental Health) Distinction. First Class BSc hons Health Studies.

 

Jackie is currently a Senior Research Nurse for Cornwall Partnership NHS Trust. She works within a multi disciplinary research team, supporting the implementation of NIHR Portfolio studies. The team strives to integrate research into everyday practice to ensure that all patients have the opportunity to take part in quality research studies.

Jackie has been a practising mental health nurse since 2002 working in a variety of roles, including acute inpatient care,  community mental health and assertive outreach.
